The Daft Punk story began  in 1987 when Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo (born in 1974) and Thomas Bangalter (born in 1975), met in the playground of their Paris lycée and became best friends.

The turning-point in their musical career came when the pair attended a giant rave held at EuroDisney in 1993. There they met the directors of a small Scottish techno label Soma. Quitting their group of lycée friends, Thomas and Guy-Manuel formed a duo, and started developing their innovative techno/house style. A year after meeting the Soma directors at the rave, the duo released their début single on the Scottish label under the name Daft Punk. Actually Dj Sasha is Alexander Coe born in Wales in September 1969. Do not be mistaken, this kind of recognition does not happen overnight. Born and raised in a small town in Wales, Sasha was exposed to Motown records when he was just a baby and it was in the home that his talent for playing the piano was developed. His first exposure to house music was at Manchester’s Hacienda; just as dance music exploded into the summer of love. This impact encouraged his move from Wales to Manchester. Multi-talented North Wales native Sasha became one of the world’s most renowned and popular DJs. Starting out in the late ’80s as a club DJ, the former Alexander Coe got his first big break when he was hired by the dance club Shelly’s to spin and rework popular sounds of the day. Paul Van Dyk Born December 16th, 1971 in Eisenhuettenstadt, East Germany, Paul grew up in communist East Berlin. Prior to Germany’s reunification, he at least had an early window to the capitalist world via the cross-border airwaves.

From early Berlin techno and house through to progressive trance, producer/DJ Paul van Dyk has soundtracked the German electronic dance scene ever since he moved to the city and began mixing in 1988. Read the rest of this entry »

Swayzak - in polish this means “union” , or so someone old us ! Group created in 1996 in London, UK. James Taylor and David Brown, friends and former work colleagues, have made music together since 1993. Brown , born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966 , Taylor, born in London, England 1967. started their own label out of lack of interest from other labels! a true union of british culture, swayzak recordings.
